Doctor Self Registration Terms

By clicking “I Agree” and completing the registration process, I acknowledge that this constitutes valid electronic consent under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. ELIGIBILITY & DECLARATION

• I confirm that I am a registered medical practitioner under the National Medical Commission (NMC) or relevant State Medical Council.
• I certify that all details submitted, including my name, registration number, qualifications, clinic details, and identity documents, are true and correct.
• I understand that any misrepresentation may result in suspension, removal, or legal action.

2. PURPOSE OF PLATFORM

2.1 I acknowledge that TopDoctor is currently operating as a professional listing and verification platform, which includes:

• Doctor self-registration
• Verification of credentials
• Creation & display of professional profiles
• Listing of clinics, specialities, timings, and fees

2.2 No patient-facing services are active at this stage. Specifically:

• No appointment booking
• No consultations
• No patient data collection
• No medical advice features
• No refund workflows
• No patient communication tools

2.3 I understand that TopDoctor is currently a professional listing and verification platform only.

3. CONSENT FOR DATA COLLECTION & PROCESSING (DPDP ACT 2023 COMPLIANT)

3.1 I provide explicit consent to TopDoctor to collect, store, verify, and process the following categories of data:

(a) Personal Data

• Name
• Contact number(s)
• Email address
• Profile photo
• Communication preferences

(b) Professional Data

• Qualification
• Registration number
• Specialisations
• Clinic details
• Consultation fees
• Licences & proof documents

(c) Voluntarily Uploaded Content

• Certificates
• Clinic images
• Personal bio
• Other documents voluntarily submitted

3.2 TopDoctor will process this data solely for:

• Profile creation & verification
• Displaying your professional identity on the platform
• Compliance with applicable laws
• Facilitating future platform features (with consent)

3.3 TopDoctor will not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. STORAGE, SECURITY & DATA RETENTION

• I consent to the storage of my data on secure servers located in India or authorized jurisdictions.
• TopDoctor implements security safeguards as required under the DPDP Act, 2023 and IT Rules.
• Data may be retained as long as my account remains active or as required by law, or until I request deletion.

5. RIGHTS AVAILABLE TO DOCTORS (DATA PRINCIPAL RIGHTS)

I understand that I have the following rights under the DPDP Act, 2023:

Right to Access

To request a summary of personal data processed.

Right to Correction & Updating

To modify or correct inaccurate information.

Right to Erasure

To request deletion of profile data unless required by law.

Right to Withdraw Consent

Withdrawal may result in profile removal.

6. PUBLIC DISPLAY CONSENT

I give TopDoctor permission to publicly display:

• Professional profile
• Qualifications & registration
• Clinics & timings
• Consultation fees
• Uploaded photos (profile & clinic)

No patient communication or booking features are active currently.

7. COMMUNICATION CONSENT

I consent to receive communications regarding:

• Account status
• Verification updates
• Platform notifications
• Feature announcements

Channels may include: SMS / WhatsApp / Email / Phone Call

8. PLATFORM RIGHTS

TopDoctor may:

• Verify credentials
• Suspend or remove incomplete or unverifiable profiles
• Request additional documentation
• Modify or update platform features
• Store audit logs for compliance
• Change T&C with appropriate notice
• Take action against misuse, impersonation, or unethical behavior
